Eagles LB Hicks Sustains Ankle Injury

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks injured his ankle during the first half of the Eagles and Carolina Panthers game. While Hicks said after the game that he was okay, it is unknown how long he will be out for or how severe the injury is. A new study conducted by the University of Oregon, and with the participation of Stanford University, the University of Southern California, and the University of Colorado Boulder, seeks to identify athletes who are likely to develop stress fractures. With newly known risk factor indicators available, athletes who are at risk for stress fractures can be alerted and allowed to rest to prevent them.
